We will have three classes on Wednesday evenings this Spring. Child care is provided. The classes start at 6:30 p.m. and will center on studies to help us in our Christian walk:
Worship Center: Open to All –Our focus at Northside this year is “Stronger Together” – “A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” (Ecclesiastes 4:12) This class will consider ways in which we can be stronger together by considering the question raised by F. LaGard Smith in his 1997 book “Who Is My Brother?” Recognizing first that every person is an individual loved by God, we will look at how to connect with people from those that seem to have the least in common with us to those who sit beside us in our assembly every week.
Commons: Ladies Class- “The Best Yes” by Lysa Terkeurst taught by Laura Beth. - Do you find yourself spending a lot of time figuring out when to say yes and when to say no, thinking about how to manage your time, reduce stress, do your best for your family, find a little time for yourself? In this study, we will use transparency, Scripture and some "been there" humor to suggest usable strategies for making wise decisions day by day. If you would like to order a book for $10, please sign up at the Welcome Center and bring your check to Laura Beth or Cory (made out to Northside) by Sunday, March 10th.
Fireplace: Men’s class- The men will be studying emotional health and spiritual maturity. We will be using Peter Scazzero’s book “Emotionally Healthy Spirituality”. Cory will be facilitating this class. Each class session will focus on seeking an awakening through biblical teaching toward healthy spiritual growth. The class will outline some unhealthy emotional situations followed by seven, biblical; ways to break through to find the life God has waiting for you. If you would like a book they may be purchased online.
